WHAT ARE PRIME CRAFT 1000 DOORS?

Prime Craft interior and exterior doors are LDF (light density fiberboard) and MDF (medium density fiberboard) doors. We manufacture solid paint grade 1 3/8” and 1 ¾” MDF doors in sizes from 1-0 to 3-0 in width and from 6-8 to 8-0 in height. We also can, and do, make custom sizes for our customers which can range in widths greater than 3-0 and heights that can extend over 8’ but not taller than 10’.

Prime Craft exterior LDF & MDF doors are manufactured from a special water resistant LDF & MDF and then coated with a special protective exterior coating. We make these doors in the same styles and patterns as our interior MDF doors so homeowners, builders, and developers can now match their interior doors with their exterior doors. We also include, as an option, a wood inset in the stile of our doors for customers who simply feel more comfortable inserting hinges into a piece of wood. However, with the use of coarse thread (#9 x 1/25) screws, the wood edge is not necessary.

Prime Craft LDF & MDF doors are available with arch tops or radius tops now offered in our new transom series (see brochure). Prime Craft 1 3/4” doors are available with a 20-minute fire label for structures requiring a fire rated door. Prime-Line, as an option, will also machine our doors for hinges, lockset, and deadbolts on request. Prime Craft doors offer excellent sound deadening characteristics:

• 1 3/8” STC rating-31,
• 1 3/8” x OITC rating-28,
• 1 ¾” x STC rating-33,
• 1 ¾” x OITC rating-30

Prime Craft LDF & MDF doors are all seamless with no stile and rail separation possible and carry a Limited Lifetime Warranty. Seamless construction eliminates joint bleed-through after the final finish coat is applied. This is a major advantage over traditional stile and rail doors.

Prime Craft 1000 solid MDF doors offer security that simply is not available in a hollow core or traditional stile and rail constructed door. A 1 3/8” x 2-6 x 8-0 door weighs 160#; obviously, a door this heavy provides the homeowner with a great deal of security against an intruder and will stand up to normal, everyday use for a lifetime and we guarantee it!
